Please read these information carefully

Border Crossing

If you rent from one of our rental stations within the USA or Canada, it is permitted to cross borders and drive within the two countries. Please Note: Canadian Citizen may not rent within the USA and drive to Canada or VS. For further information please contact the local authorities.

Campground Advance Reservation

If you arrive until 13:00/15:00 hours during the peak season (July & August) you should have no problem at all to secure space on most campgrounds. Thus, some highly frequented destinations – usually within the National Park Areas – are filling up quickly. Accordingly, we recommend advance online reservation for a marginal service fee through the US or Canada National Park Service. Most credit cards are accepted. If you plan to travel during the off -season we generally do not recommend to pre-secure space. Go as you please and overnight where ever you like. Please Note: we do not provide any campground advance reservation services.

Campgrounds Fees

At KOA and other privately operated campgrounds the nightly fees are from $10.00/$25.00 Most of them are providing showers, electrical hook-ups, dump station, swimming pool, laundry and a small convenience store with limited supplies. The government and/or National Park campground fees are ranging anywhere from $10.00/$15.00 per night. Most of them are providing a grill or fire pit, table with benches and an outhouse. Some interpretive programs may also be available Please check our separate information on how to make advance reservation for most Canadian/US National Parks.

Capacity

One of the most commenly asked question is: (1) how many people can travel and how many people can sleep in each motorhome type. The travel and the sleeping capacities are almost never identical. This is why we specify the number of seatbelts installed in each of the vehicle types. It is not permitted by law to travel with more people in the vehicle than the number of seatbelts installed. We also specify the number of sleeping capacity. The sleeping capacity may not correspond with the number of seatbelts installed. Sometimes, customers want to just travel in the motorhomes but not sleep in the unit or sometimes, customers want to use the full sleeping capacity and use a second vehicle to allow for travel capacity for the entire party. For such cases, it is important to exactly know what a vehicle offers. If we state a sleeping capacity of 6-8, then 6 adults could sleep in the camper and up to 8 people is the maximum possible capacity.  We calculate the sleeping capacity as follows: Double Bed = 2; Cab over Bed = 2; Sofa Bed = 1 adult or 2 children; Dinette Bed Area = 1 adult or 2 children  Please Note: We will reserve the right to refuse delivery of a vehicle to a customer, should the party size exceed the number of seat belts installed. (2) we recommend the following capacity for privacy and to ensure sufficient personal space. Class C RV are typical rental units with a cab over bed above the driver area. Class A RV are „bus style“ units.

Truck Camper = 2 Adults/1 Child
Van Conversions = 2 Adults/1 Child
19/20 ft Motorhomes = 2-3 Adults
21/23 ft Motorhomes = 2-4 Adults
24/25 ft Motorhomes = 2-5 Adults
27/29 ft Motorhomes = 2-6 Adults
30/31 ft Motorhomes = 2-8 Adults
30/32 ft Class A Motorhomes = 2-4 Adults
34/36 ft Class A Motorhomes = 2-6 Adults
38/40 ft Class A Motorhomes = 2-6 Adults

Some special Vans (Mercedes Benz Units & Deluxe Vans) may provide extra space for additional adults. These units are not available at every rental center.
