| Insurance Terms |
|
Public Liability Insurance
Liability insurance coverage is maintained on all rental vehicles to a maximum of $1,000,000.00 for any bodily injury and property damage liability claim brought by a third party (other than a passenger) against the customer (and any other driver listed in the rental contract) as a result of the operation or use of their rental vehicle. This basic public liability coverage is included in all rental rates. All coverage and waivers are subject to the express terms of the rental contact.
Customer Responsibility with Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
In the event of a loss or damage to the vehicle while on rent, weather or not due to the fault of the customer, the customer's responsibility for direct and accidental loss including theft and vandalism or damage to the vehicle is unlimited. That is, customer is responsible for all loss or damage. All daily rental rates for all vehicles include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). With the CDW, the customer's responsibility for accidental damage, theft and vandalism (police report is required) to the vehicle is reduced to $2,500.00 per occurrence with the following exceptions, for which there is no reduction in customer responsibility for damages:
1) Caused as a result of use without our expressed permission
2) Caused by striking overhead object and from backing up vehicle.
3) Interior damage.
4) Undercarriage damage, including tires and wheels.
5) Damage caused by freezing or overheating vehicle systems.
6) All glass damage.
7) All damages caused during any use of off public roads, Campgrounds
Security Deposit with CDW is $2,500.00
Extended Liability and Vacation Interruption Protection (ELVIP)
Extended Liability and vacation Interruption Protection (ELVIP) is available with a set maximum per rental. Please refer to the Price List for ELVIP rates. ELVIP provides the following benefits:
With ELVIP the customer's responsibility for accidental damage is further reduced to $300.00. In case of theft and vandalism to the vehicle the deductible is $1,000.00. This reduction of the customer's responsibility does however not apply to the exceptions mentioned in 3.2 I-VII above, for which customer's responsibility reduces from unlimited to $2,500.00.
ELVIP also covers the expenses in the event of a mechanical breakdown requiring the vehicle to be in repair for more than 12 working hours. Radio, air conditioning, refrigerator, generator, microwave, appliances, automatic step, cruise control and GPS malfunctions are not considered to be mechanical breakdowns. Incurred expenses of $30.00 per person per day for lodging and $30.00 per group per day for other transportation is provided. A limit of $3,000.00 per rental applies and this plan is not valid in case of an accident. Customer must present all receipts for refund of expenses.
ELVIP coverage is void:
1) If customer fails to file an accident/damage police report.
2) If the vehicle is used in violation of the terms of the rental contract.

| Northern Charges |
|
Driving to Alaska, to Northern BC - Alaska Highway North of Fort St. John or the Steward Cassiar Highway, to the Yukon Territory and to the Northwest Territories are considered Northern Rentals. A mandatory one-time preparation/insurance fee of $400.00 applies. The fee does not apply for all rentals originating in Alaska or the Yukon Territory. If you drive into these areas without permission your insurance coverage may be void. In case of an accident customers are responsible for all fees.

| Rental Equipment |
|
Most rental center are providing the following items for rent and at a additional cost: Mountain Bikes, Bike Carrier, Child Seats, Booster Seats, Toaster, Lawn Chairs, inflatable Canoes or Kayaks, Snow Chains etc. Advance reservation is highly recommended. You may rent these items also at local outdoor supply stores.

| Smoking |
|
All units are strictly non-smoking. If you smoke in the unit a cleaning fee may apply upon return of the unit.

| Transfers - General |
|
Overseas customer must overnight before picking up their rental unit.
Transfers are provided from designated transfer hotels only.
|

Transfers - Pick up
|
|
Afternoon pick-ups are available between 14:00 16:00 pm. Transfers for afternoon pick-ups are not provided.
|
| Transfers - Return |
|
Drop off between 09:00 10:00 am. Late return fee applies.
A return transfer either to the hotel or the airport will be provided Please refer to transfer details.
|
| Travel Restriction |
|
RV’s are not permitted in Mexico, Death Valley between June Sept, on logging roads, non-public roads and for off road driving. Travel to Alaska and the Yukon Territory is permitted. A $450.00 non-refundable charge applies.
|

|
Are included with the exception of taxes for additionally locally rented items and locally paid mileage fees

| Upgrades / Downgrades |
|
We will make every effort to provide the type of vehicle requested and booked. We do, however, reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of equivalent or lower value or offer a higher rated vehicle at no additional cost. Should a lower rated vehicle be substituted, our responsibility is limited to refund the difference in the daily rental rates.
